I vrennil vain ben-dihenad
La Belle Dame sans Merci
Man naeg mathal, ae maethor veren,
Erui reniol ar nimp?
I thâr pellen uin ael
Ar ú-linnar in aew.

Man naeg mathal, ae maethor veren,
I naer ar pen-lalaith?
I dorech en-nâr pant,
Ar tolthad en-iau coren.

Cenin loth erin hin lín,
Na naeg ar lhêw limminnen,
Ar mi nêf lín veril firiel,

Govannen vrennil na i nain,
I bainwain, hên in-edhil,
Finnel dín and, i dâl dín lim,
Ar hin dín vrêg.

Agoren rê an ndôl dín,
Ar mêr adh rainc ar loth;

Ar pent na lhoss velui.

Nan roch nín meleg harn,
Ar ú-gennin nad an aur and,
An tirn na venath linnol,

Hirn hylch velui enni,
Ar 'lê throvan ar Viruvor,
Na ú-istassen lam e pent,
'Gen melin thenin'

Tunc nin na i fela dín,
Ar ennas nêr dín siriant,
Ar ennas sollin hin dín mrêg

Ar tunc nan êdh nin ennas,
Ar ennas oltha enni, ae,
I ôl vedui i oltha uireb
Nan dalad amon ring.

Cennin erain thind, ar conin nimp,
ar vaethyr vith, sui firn pain;
Nallant 'I vrennil vain ben-dihenad
Si baugla le.'

Cennin i nêf thairn hýn,
Nan gortheb pith edrannen pann,
Ar echui nin hirnin si,
Nan dalad amon ring.

Ar sen an darthon hi,
Erui reniol ar nimp,
Ir thâr pellen uin ael
Ar ú-linnar in aew.

La Belle Dame sans Merci
O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
Alone and palely loitering?
The sedge has withered from the lake.
And no birds sing.

O what can ail thee, knight-at-arms,
So haggard and so woe-begone?
The squirrel's granary is full,
And the harvest's done.

I see a lily on thy brow,
With anguish moist and fever-dew,
And on thy cheeks a fading rose
Fast withereth too.

I met a lady in the meads,
Full beautiful, a faery's child,
Her hair was long, her foot was light,
And her eyes were wild.

I made a garland for her head,
And bracelets too, and fragrant zone;
She looked at me as she did love,
And made sweet moan.

I set her on my pacing steed,
And nothing else saw all day long,
For sidelong would she bend and sing,
A faery's song.

She found me roots of relish sweet,
And honey wild and manna-dew,
And sure in language strange she said -
'I love thee true'.

She took me to her elfin grot,
And there she wept and sighed full sore,
And there I shut her wild wild eyes
With kisses four.

And there she lulled me asleep
And there I dreamed - Ah! woe betide! -
The latest dream I ever dreamt
On the cold hill side.

I saw pale kings and princes too,
Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;
They cried - 'La Belle Dame sans Merci
Thee hath in thrall.'

I saw their starved lips in the gloam,
With horrid warning gaped wide,
And I awoke and found me here,
On the cold hill's side.

And this is why I sojourn here
Alone and palely loitering
Though the sedge is withered from the lake,
And no birds sing.

Thia sui balan enni
Like the very gods
Thia sui balan enni
i venn hen, i châr ú-balan
o chen ar lathra,

Thinnant Ithil
The moon is gone
Thinnant Ithil,
ar giliath,
enedh en-fuin,
gwanna i lû,
im losta erui.

Like the very gods
Like the very gods in my sight is he who
sits where he can look in your eyes, who listens
close to you, to hear the soft voice, its sweetness
murmur in love and

laughter, all for him. But it breaks my spirit;
underneath my breast all the heart is shaken.
Let me only glance where you are, the voice dies,
I can say nothing,

but my lips are stricken to silence, under-
neath my skin the tenuous flame suffuses;
nothing shows in front of my eyes, my ears are
muted in thunder.

And the sweat breaks running upon me, fever
shakes my body, paler I turn than grass is;
I can feel that I have been chnged, I feel that
death has come near me.

The moon is gone
The moon is gone,
and the stars,
in the middle of the night,
the hour is passing,
but I sleep alone.

I nennin
The fallen
A linn' o laiss, o laiss dhennin,
pen-gwanod carallaiss caedar.
A ceno yrn, i velegyrn
gelin: peleth a gurth dîn lint.

Bronatha cuil, egor fern pân
- ú-belin peded han,
I galad io, i naur si gwann,
aur vîn en-umarth pant.

A matho hûl, i cheleg-hûl,
sui aew thiar i nennin laiss!
Mar loss telitha, loss buig ring,
of Forod, dannatha of fain?

No tebitha carallassath,
no díhenol e-gaun vîn meth.

Aduial
Evendim
Aduial erin nen,
sui cenedril i ael
tâd gwoen reviar.

Calad goll thinna,
i thâr thlossui,
i amar dâr thuiad.

Tôl ithilgalad hilivren,
menel-vír síla,
nan râd nín na mar.

ú-balan morchant nín,
nîr vín dennir,
al lû 'wann vain.

The fallen
O sing of leaves, of fallen leaves
and countless leaves of red there lie.
O see the trees, the mighty trees
of green now swiftly fade and die.

Will life remain, will all be lost?
Nothing certain I can say,
The light is past, the flame is gone,
ill-fated is now our day.

O feel the wind, the icy wind
like birds the fallen leaves fly by -
When will the snow, the clean cold snow
come from the North, fall from the sky?

O may it cover all red leaves
and mercifully silence our cry!

Evendim
Evendim on the water,
Like a mirror is the lake
Two geese are flying.

Light fades to darkness,
the whispering grass,
the world holds its breath.

Comes now the glittering moonlight,
Sky-jewel illumines
My homeward path.

Not far is my shadow,
our tears are falling
for a lost moment of beauty.

Cuil nîn prestannen
My life is changed
Tolel nan guil nîn,

Gen aníron mathad

Le ú-iston,

amman lalaith nîn gell?

Man râd bedithon aen?
Which way should I choose?
Nin pennir

Nin pennir

dan ú-iston

My life is changed
You came into my life
like a shadow in the night,
like a whisper in silence,
like rain in the lake.

I want to feel you
like wind on my face,
like the sun on my skin,
like a fire in my heart.

My life is changed,
like a flower in spring,
like a river in winter,
like the air after rain.

I do not know you-
Why am I stirred?
Why is my laughter so happy?
What is your name?

Which way should I choose?
I was told
my life is like a straight way
but I think
I've come to a crossroad.

I was told,
there's one love in life
but I feel
my heart doesn't say so.

I was told
'follow the right way!'
but I think
this way is wrong for me.

I was told
that elves don't bind with mortals
but I feel
that maybe I'm like Lúthien.

I was told
'follow the right way!'
but I don't know
which way should I choose?

Laer al Lothiel
Song for Lothiel
Laston i lalaith dîn,

Dant calad trî i chith
Thia aer goll
Na vedui echuia aur

Tinu nan gelaid míriar
Sui nîr Anor.

Lhossui sûl trasta 'ylf

Sui ross vallen dennir
Ned oer Ivann.

Song for Lothiel
I hear her laughter
here, on this side of the river, on this side of the stream,
and I stay enchanted
by her beautiful voice.

I see her eyes,
at night, in my dreams,
and I dream
of her beautiful face.

I feel her hand,
when we meet in secret,
in my hands,
setting my heart on fire.

Autumn days
The dark sky is leaving -
End of the night -
Now raises mist in the valleys
Hidden the day.

Light falls trough the fog
Like a golden sea it seems
At last awakens the day
And sing the birds.

Red-gold the leaves of the forest
Gone is the mist
Sparks at the trees are glittering
Like tears of the sun

A whispering wind stirs the branches
A shudder in the leaves
Like a golden rain they are falling
In Yavanna's days.

Gûr nîn abronatha

Nef fuinath min elei,

My heart will go on
Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're one

Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Man's road
Horizon rising up to meet the purple dawn
Dust demon screaming, bring an eagle to lead me on
For in my heart I carry such a heavy load
Here I am on Man's road, walking Man's road, walking Man's road

I'm hungry, weary, but I cannot lay me down
The rain comes, dreary, but there's no shelter I have found
It will be a long time till I find my abode
Here I am on Man's road, walking Man's road

Moon rising, disguising lonely streets in gay displays
The stars fade, the night shade falls and makes the world afraid
It waits in silence for the sky to explode
Here I am on Man's road, walking Man's road, walking Man's road
Walking Man's road, walking Man's road, walking Man's road
